Safe Kids Clarion/Venango






The Safe Kids Clarion/Venango Coalition is part of SAFE KIDS WORLDWIDE and the worldwide effort to prevent injuries to children.  The Safe Kids Clarion-Venango coalition formed in January 2014 when the Safe Kids chapters of Clarion County and Venango County merged to fulfill the new Safe Kids Worldwide coalition requirements as they phase out chapters over the next year.  We became the first two chapters in Pennsylvania to make this transition. Our mission is to reduce the number of unintentional injuries and deaths through prevention and education because we truly believe that Safe Kids are No Accident. 


We are targeting the following areas in our community:

  • Community Education and Events
  • Recreation Safety
  • Birth-1st Grade Safety
  • Elementary School-Age Safety
  • Pre-teen/Teen Safety
  • Family and Home Safety

Safe Kids Clarion-Venango provides resource materials, safety presentations, trainings and referrals on the following topics:

  • Child Passenger Safety
  • Bicycle and Wheeled Sport Safety
  • Traumatic Brain Injuries
  • Toy Safety
  • Choking and Suffocation Prevention
  • Fire Safety
  • Cribs for Kids and Safe Sleep Initiative
  • Poisoning Prevention
  • Water Safety
  • Falls Prevention
  • Farm Safety
  • ATV Safety
  • Playground Injuries Prevention
