The Specialist Ross A. McGinnis Service Award Endowment Fund celebrates a Medal of Honor recipient and paves the way for future small-town heroes.

The Ross McGinnis Memorial Endowment is dedicated to the preservation of the memory of Spc. Ross A McGinnis’s military career and personal sacrifice. Endowment Assistance is available to military Veterans, Young People entering the military service and those individuals who have shown exemplary achievement in Community Service.

Ross grew up in Knox, PA and was a student of the Keystone SMILES Crossroads program.  Upon completion of the program, Ross returned to Keystone High School, graduated, and enter the Army following his high school graduationAs a soldier, he sacrificed his life to save the lives of 4 other Soldiers, in Adhamiyah, Iraq on December 4th, 2006.  He was a heavy machine gunner for 1st Platoon, Charlie Company,  1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment.
